New website & recent news

On a wet New Year’s Day the Cwmni visited the Old House tavern in Llangynwyd, nr Maesteg to welcome the New Year with the Fari Lwyd. This is an annual tradition for us, and many people had travelled from afar to the pub to see us perform this unique Welsh tradition. This is the only place in Wales where this tradition has continued unbroken and so it is a honour for us to be a part of this great tradition and receive such a warm welcome.

We have also recently welcomed a few new members to the Company:

• Isabelle, a daughter for Esther & Rhys
• Megan Fflur, daughter for Dafydd and Siân
• Ifan Gomer, a son for Elin Angharad and Rhodri
• Mia Elenna, a daughter for Ruth and Ian

We have a few busy months ahead as we will be performing at the Museum of Welsh Life on Saturday 1st March to celebrate St David’s Day; swiftly followed by a concert performance at Cwlwm Celtaidd on Friday 7th March. We will once again be dancing and raising the Pawl Fai at the Museum of Welsh Life on Monday 5th May to celebrate May Day. After that we will be busy preparing for a trip to a festival in the South of France.
